Looking for Something Different this Summer?

I love the shore as much as anyone else, but c’mon do you really want to pack into a hot car and drive to the shore with thousands of others trying to get a little sun and sand? Sure, Princeton and surrounding areas, might not have the sand, but it certainly has the sun - and a lot less people!

Love to visit towns in the “off-season?” This is your opportunity to see the region when it’s a little quieter. Check out the local events - with locals! There is something to do just about every day until Labor Day. We have compiled our favorites:

Princeton Festival at Morven - Enjoy music, opera, dance, and more within the tented pavilion on the picturesque grounds of Morven Museum & Garden.

Paddle for Pink at Mercer Lake - Watch dragon boat races while supporting local women and families affected by breast cancer. Event also includes live entertainment, food trucks, and a silent auction.

Open mic night at Arts Council of Princeton - featuring Senator Andy Kim - Poets and spoken word fans, join for a special event celebrating the Witherspoon-Jackson Neighborhood. Performers are invited to present a piece inspired by the W-J neighborhood or its residents – past, present, or future.

Dancing under the Stars at Hinds Plaza - Members of Central Jersey Dance Society demonstrate basic steps and lead others in an evening of dancing to recorded music of all kinds on Hinds Plaza, weather permitting.

Theater productions at Kelsey Theatre - The Importance of Being Earnest, Fiddler on the Roof, Meet me in St. Louis are just a few on the schedule this summer season.

Trenton Thunder baseball games - The Thunder host a variety of Theme Nights and Community Nights throughout the summer, providing groups with similar interests the opportunity to get together and enjoy an old fashioned baseball game!
